Love this series! Ms Danes has skyrocketed to the top of my favorite author list. She can write and she's not afraid to move a story along. The By Him series has been a rollercoaster of an adventure. The story of Chase Kerns (professor) and Summer Farris (student and intern) took a decided turn in this release. Well we know there's at least one more release to come as the ring box Chase has in his possession wasn't taken out of his pocket. According to Ms Danes website (elliedanes.com) readers have a secret release scheduled for Monday 5/4/2015. Come on Ellie don't keep us in suspense much longer. I have Amazon's Unlimited and I still buy the series. You won't regret reading/purchasing this series.Product details

Well, I LOVE THIS book.....I hate to see this series end....wished there was one more....but a happy ending is a happy ending. I can't wait to see what Ms. Danes comes out with next. I look forward to her next email saying my new release is available......Her writing is good and does not draw out like some do. You DO NOT have to wait for ever for the next book to come out. THAT IS A PLUS IN MY BOOK. So WELL DONE Ms. Danes. I look forward to my glass of wine and being draw into my next fantasy with your next book.
Wow! Ellie Danes has done it again! And just what has she done, you ask? She has created another another spellbinding contemporary series filled with lust, love and consequences. Oh my! Loved by Him is Book Five in Danes' Chosen by Him Series and yes, I said series as in a serial which means multiple installments and dare I say it, cliffhangers. Yikes! Each installment is relatively short and is perfect for a quick break or lunchtime read. Although I recognize this may not be everyone's cup of tea, I personally love the excitement and anticipation of a great serial and look forward to those nail biting, heart pounding, what will happen next endings. And Danes delivers in spades! The story is fresh, modern, exciting, believable, riveting, romantic, arousing, seductive and sensual. This is not erotica but does contain some adult material including some very tasteful sex scenes. The dialogue is smart and flows well. There were quite a few grammatical and editing errors in this installment which is the reason I subtracted a star from the rating. The characters are the most important component in this story as seems to be the case in most of Danes books. They take center stage and as the story unfolds, Danes does an exceptional job of the development of her two main players. They are captivating, intriguing, engaging, life-like and sexy. She expertly combines these elements to craft a deliciously romantic and delightfully entertaining read. Twenty four year old MBA student, Summer Farris, is beautiful, intelligent and hard working and wants nothing more to excel and become successful in her field. Her current goal is to win a business internship with her professor, handsome, billionaire Chase Kerns but when she is passed over for one of the five coveted slots, she is beyond devastated. She and her roommate, Alyssa, decide to drown their mutual disappointment at a local bar just off campus where she sees Professor Kerns with one of his colleagues. After several drinks of liquid courage, Summer makes a fool of herself by confronting her professor and leaves the bar, embarrassed and quite a bit tipsy. She decides to walk home but is conveniently offered a ride by her professor. Hmmm.......I wonder if the handsome Professor Kerns is as attracted to the lovely Summer as she is to him. It seems he is! Oh my! Sparks Fly! This could be the recipe to either an exciting, loving relationship or a perfectly horrible disaster. I wonder which it will be??? Will love prevail? No spoilers from me but I will say this......Beautiful, intelligent grad student who is hardworking, independent, career-minded, ambitious and very competitive-check! Handsome, charismatic billionaire who owns his own business but is also a college professor and is head over heels in lust with one of his students-check! A previous inappropriate relationship which ended in disaster and blackmail-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, forbidden love, a healthy dose of agonizing angst and some sweet romance-you bet! That and a whole lot more! Oh my Glory! This just gets better and better! I can hardly wait to read the next installment! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
Book 5, 3 stars-sweet. Still unsure why needing so many books for this story... Each book is brief chapters of the story. More details in this "book" forming a relationship with the characters & a bit more description. Still lacking real romance & passion for the story, characters, & relationship of where the story seems to be going.
Book 1, 3 stars, good- keeps you interested into the story, intrigued to find out more & characters seem captivating 😊 thankfully available on unlimited, otherwise I never would purchase such a short story, not sure if I'm a fan of several short books, but after reading them all, I will update my reviews
Book 2, 3 stars- ok-This was not a book- way too short more like a chapter. The story still seems entertaining, characters ok, but not great- less likable & more demanding or weak (as always). Hopefully as the books continue the story & characters become more engaging & interesting.
Book 3, 3 stars- Still to short for a "book", but the story is progressing & still interesting. The weak student got a back bone for a moment & the dominant teacher became weak, hopefully seeking true interest or love ??? On to the next book/chapter of the story.
Book 4, 2 stars- not really sure where this story is heading, lacking important details of a "relationship" or romance with the characters. There is lust, but no passion. They both show too much weakness. The story really lacks information.
